Raquel has 20 years of marketing and advertising experience on the corporate side where she was responsible for various global and national brands working in New York City, Dallas and Austin. Brands she is proud to have been a part of in her career include AT&T, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Jack Daniels, Starbucks, Pepsi’s Mountain Dew, and the Mars/Wrigley portfolio of brands. She has had the privilege to work on Super Bowl campaigns for Pepsi and Snickers, launch new products for AT&T, develop strategic plans for M&M’s and Starbucks that were deployed from the U.S. down to Latin America. She has worked for top advertising agencies recognized as Agency of the Year and her own work has been recognized for creative excellence at the prestigious Cannes Lion International Creativity Festival in France.
As Chief Marketing Officer at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, Raquel led vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of marketing, building and directing campaigns to bolster the visibility of the venue while restructuring all sales functions under the authority of the CMO. Most recently, Raquel joined the MLS expansion team, Austin FC, as VP of Marketing. She oversees brand advertising and in-market activations for the club as it prepares for its inaugural season kick-off this year.
Raquel has advised on various non-profits including the Long Center for the Performing Arts, Seedling Mentoring Program and Girl Scouts of Central Texas. Raquel is a Houston native and holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
